Consul General Tang Rui Meets with Mayor of Lancaster Roger Dennison

On 6 November, Consul General Tang Rui met with Councillor Roger Dennison, Mayor of Lancaster, at the Lancaster Town Hall. The two sides had in-depth exchanges of views on deepening the regional cooperation between the two countries in various fields. 


Consul General Tang Rui said that Lancaster is a famous city in the North of England, with a long history, rich cultural resources and a solid foundation for cooperation with the Chinese side in culture, education and other fields. He looks forward to this visit to further deepening and solidifying regional cooperation in various fields and help each other achieve better development. Consul General Tang Rui also introduced China's latest achievements in its development. 



Mayor Roger Dennison welcomed the visit of Consul General Tang Rui, and said that Lancaster attaches great importance to the relations with China and is looking forward to further expanding bilateral cooperation in education and in the fields of economy, trade and new energy. He also hopes that more Chinese high-tech enterprises will come to invest and do business in Lancaster. Mr. Denison accompanied Consul General Tang Rui and his delegation for a visit of the Lancaster Town Hall. Mark Davies, Chief Executive of Lancaster City Council, was present at the meeting.
