The Consulate General of China in Manchester opens for Condolences at the National Mourning Period


The State Council of China has announced a three-day national mourning period from 19th to 21st of May 2008 to express deep condolence to victims of the earthquakes that hit Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province, Southwest China. The Chinese national flag will be flown at half-mast at the time.

There will be a condolence book and donation box in the ground floor of the Consulate General of China in Manchester at Denison House, 71 Denison Road, Rusholme, Manchester M14 5RX for people of all walks of life in North England from 0900 to 1800 Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st May. Consulate staff is there to receive and provide help wherever necessary.
