Recently, Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester wrote to Consul General Zheng Xiyuan, thanking the Consulate for the donation of PPEs when the area experienced PPE shortage. He said the pandemic led people to realise that all nations and peoples are closely inter-connected that only with solidarity and collaboration can mankind tackle the global challenges. He also looked forward to seeing the ultimate victory over the pandemic of both Britain and China through working together, and mutual exchanges and collaborations being expanded in other areas.
